Yogpeeth Residential Center

Dear Student,
Hare Krishna!!!

We appreciate you for choosing to blend spirituality and prescribed duties by being a member of Yogpeeth.

As you know that in our Yogpeeth training we want to ensure that you perform your academics well along with your spiritual duties, besides taking full advantage of Yogpeeth training. Please note the following norms that are meant to help every member regulate and balance his life to achieve ultimate success:

  1. Attend morning program in time. Please read Annexure I for details.
  2. Sleep in time. Early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise.
  3. Fulfilling the Study Criterion set by you in consultation with the study committee.
  4. Pay the prasadam, rent and miscellaneous charges in time. For details, read Annexure IV.
  5. Follow the four regulative principles – no meat eating, no intoxication, no illicit sex and no gambling. Avoid outside eatables, tea-coffee-etc, not see movies or hear movie songs, not indulge in frivolous talk and behavior and should have no connection to opposite sex.
  6. Don't bring newspapers, magazines, etc. to Yogpeeth. One can read selectively at college itself if needed.
  7. Live in harmony with all Yogpeeth residents with respect, love and trust.
  8. Enthusiastic participation in all the Yogpeeth activities, weekly programs, services etc. Fulfill our duties with respect to studies, sadhana or services in a spirit of voluntary discipline for purification and progress in KC.
  9. Fill Sadhana card regularly and report it to facilitator to ensure healthy body, mind and soul
  10. Keep us informed about your whereabouts, whenever you go out. Your parents may call.
  11. Hear lectures with eagerness and share with each other what we relished
  12. Please don't bring your outside friends for overnight stay or for full prasadam.
  13. Use Krishna's property for only preaching Krishna consciousness; and not for personal purposes
  14. Don't ask for any expensive belongings (like flash players, laptops, bikes, mobiles, etc) of another devotee for personal or Yogpeeth purposes.
  15. Speak in English as much as possible.
  16. Do not access internet alone in Yogpeeth.
  17. Wear dhoti-kurta in Yogpeeth as much as possible for internal programs and elegant pant-shirts outside.
  18. If parents visit, please arrange accommodation outside Yogpeeth.
  19. Don't make any money exchanges with other Yogpeeth devotees
